Today, we had our annual Chinese New Year celebration. It is celebrated early as usual, in school. My CCA, ZHCO performed a cny song called 贺新年.
We had all been looking forward to this day, 8th February 2013. Not just because we get to celebrate Chinese New Year, but we are also elated that we can get away from school for 4days including the weekends. And homework was lesser, as the teachers decided to give us a little break..or should i say let us off a bit?.. Lolol.
Oh well. Our performance wasn't really great, after all mistakes could not be avoided without ample preparation. We had practice on wed, and there was much improvement as compared to rehearsal on tue. Hence, we had great expectations and were anticipated. Yet we failed to achieve our expectations. Really hope we can improve soon and be well prepared for our SYC judging in beginning of April. There seriously ain't much time left.
I'm quite disappointed as the competition is just less than two months away, and we still have not yet learn the second song to be performed by us. The last central judging competition is SYF in 2011. I was secondary two then. Miracle is another word for hard efforts. And we achieve the highest award that brought honour to our school, our Chinese Orchestra, etc. We achieved the Gold With Honors award. It was the school's as well as our CO's first Gold with Honors award. Being proud that we've made history, we had a great time and fun despite the depressing, schedule tight and stressful periods time to time. My section, tby, bonded really well unlike other sections and were freaking high and enthusiastic whenever it was time for CO. Thinking back.. great memories shared with and among awesome people... seniors, juniors, friends, teachers, conductor, instructors. It is one of the best times I've had in Secondary 2.
Missing my dearest seniors right now...
